School Charter

The community at

 Hackness Church of England School

will follow the teachings of Jesus by:

Respecting and caring for each other

 and our environment

Creating a brilliant place for

 learning, living and growing

Encouraging each other to work hard,

to enjoy and

achieve in all that we do

Upholding our school values of courage, love, respect, friendship and joy.

Our school aims to give a happy, caring and supportive environment where everyone can work successfully together to prepare our children for life in the wider/larger community.

The school is for girls and boys aged between 4+ and 11+ with 71 children currently on roll. It is administered by North Yorkshire County Council Local Education Authority. Our school is designated a Church of England (Controlled) School; it is financed entirely by the Local Education Authority (LEA) but past affiliations to the Church are recognised by the inclusion of members of the Parochial Church Council on the governing body.
